IDC4U/4O - Task Page
April Goals
1. Because the government/board mandate was that there was to be no expectation of completed work during the March Break and 2 week school closure, I have to assume that time is still needed for the completion of your Unit 1 assignments. As such, please spend the first week "back" (April 6th-10th) on the completion of your 2 unit assignments, as well as completing the progress log sheet for the week (reminder: log sheets are found under the "Writing Skills" tab on this website. You will also need to transcribe your log sheet for the week before March Break into a typed format in order to facilitate on-line submission.
PLEASE NOTE: Because of time limitations and to get things running smoothly, for this month (i.e for Units #1 and #2) I will not be requiring a learning portfolio submission, as it just doesn't work well in its current format. DO NOT throw away anything you have already collected for unit #1, as it may be used in the future. Through the elimination of the portfolio/conference assessment and work, I am hoping that will bring us more in line with the 3 hours of work mandate from the Ministry of Education.
Therefore, by NEXT MONDAY (April 13th) you need to submit:
1 - BOTH unit #1 assignments
2 - Two weekly log sheets (1 for the week prior to March Break and f1 or this week)
LOOKING AHEAD TO UNIT #2: Review your current course outline proposal, and select whichever unit you think has assessments best suited for on-line submission. This is the one you should tackle next, unless your course is designed in some way which requires a rigid structure of completion (i.e. you need to do unit 2 in order to underpin unit 3).
**PLEASE NOTE** For all IDC4U students, you are required to complete your research paper component at some point in the semester. It is the one assignment that cannot be eliminated under time constraints and condensed curricular expectations.
